That sounds killer.

Yep, especially if you can source the salmon from the local Native American vendors around here. My next door neighbor does meat smoking commercially and his steelhead is pretty great too, but I don't think he's allowed to sell it. Dang, this thread is making me hungry!

On the last part we can agree. I grew up in CT and there were only 4 places I considered real when I lived there. One was a Greek joint I could ride my bike to, go figure. The other three were the classic N.H. coal fired ones on Wooster St. There's plenty of awful pie in NYC, but the goods are sublime, no doubt. Nice that the water's good for something! Don't know if you keep up with the news. Sally's was bought out (quality and customers disappearing). Pepe's has been opening new locations around the state - not as good as Wooster Street (and they actually use plates and serve salad) but still decent.

I knew that Pepe's had one at some casino and another one around Fairfield (?). Hadn't heard about Sally's, but change is usually not a good thing when it comes to things like this. I very nearly did the drive to Wooster St. the last time I visited CT, but ultimately we opted for a lobster roll instead.

Putting together my order for pizza today, with seven toppings.
Coincidentally a pizza comes on the TV, & it's huge.

They open the box & it's just plain cheese pizza :meh:

Do adults really eat plain cheese pizza?
I thought it was only for children.

I’m still trying to figure out the attraction of pepperoni??? Pizza is bad enough for you health wise. Tons of fats, carbs, and sodium.... so let’s add even more fats, and sodium to
make sure you aren’t waiting too long for that coronary artery to plug..... ( been there, and yes it does happen) Try adding some fresh basil, onions, mushrooms, and peppers instead.

I like a nice Meatball and Pepperoni pie when I want something heavy... but generally order a plain pie 1/2 onion. Thinly sliced onion and good crust makes for the perfect pizza for me (I like it a little thick, large dough stretched to a small pie size is ideal). I make pies at home fairly regularly... the wife cannot take tomatoes any longer (she has Crohn's). At home I make an Asiago white sauce to put under the Mozzarella... sometimes with sausage, fried eggplant, bell peppers.
