Fame is a siren that has no hold over me. To be completely serious for a minute, I never once understood the desire to become famous. I'm not being judgemental here. Is just that my brain simply refuses to process it. It's a complete mental blind spot for me. I literally don't get it.
I suspect I'm not cut out for fame. And my complete absence of desire for attaining fame pretty much guarantees I'll never have to deal with being famous. So perhaps I'm very fortunate in that repect.
Funny how our brains work sometimes.

It's refreshing to know of someone who had been "living the life" and is now good a being a "regular schmoe" like the rest of us. It takes a great deal of inner strength and confidence to be humble and not brag to everybody about the glory days.
In this business you run into so many people who treat you like "Don't you know who I think I am?" It's great to meet someone who earns your respect by being real rather than demanding it because of something they did in another lifetime.
Good friends are hard to come by. And it really hurts to lose them. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Of course! In fact, I just ordered Stephen King's "It" because we realized to our horror (pun intended) that after seeing the new "It" movie, we didn't own a copy of the book. My wife and I are big Stephen King fans.
