Pork Loin mod

I've been running mine at 18v since I got it - almost always on. No issues. Definite improvement in headroom

I've been running mine at 18V too for probably 3+ years without issues. It changed everything: The PL went from being borderline useless to me (farty ugly fuzz on lower strings no matter what internal trimpots settings were) to being absolutely everything I want from an overdrive pedal. It killed my GAS for other dirt pedals - this one sounds great, and it just works in a band context (not always a given for OD/dist/fuzz pedals), so I'm sticking to it.

Couldn't agree more

I also put mine up against the Pork and Pickle and while the differences were subtle I preferred the Porkloin.

Plus at 18v with internal pots down, Clean and Curve maxed and Overdrive at 3 o'clock I get the best most useable fuzz tone I've ever had.

personally, i wouldn't recommend running a Pork Loin at 18 volts. i can probably handle it in the short term, but the first filter cap in the power supply (100uf) is rated at 16 volts. a 16 volt cap might be able to operate at 18 volts, but i don't think that it'll last as long as running it at 9 or 12 volts. another option is to just replace the cap with one rated at 25 or 35 volts. then you can safely run it at 18 volts forever.

Thanks, that's good info! Do you have the RefDes of that cap? I'll replace it.
