OK, so campground Blues Festivals are a bit odd at times. This was the opening act before we came on with a 10-piece jump blues band. Yup, belly dancers...

Here is a pretty good photo of me with my last ska band opening up for Roddy Radiation (guitar player for The Specials) who brought a pretty good photographer (copywrite at the bottom, if you want to find him). If anyone wants to know, I'm rocking my Modulus Genesis 5. Naturally, this was before the plague. That band has "broken up" (mostly new members, same band leader), I've moved countries, and am looking forward to playing with some new musicians in a new city.
Here's one from awhile back: Church band practice (an auditorium is out there, that you can't see). A rockin' unit.
Then, the same group did a charity Rock/Blues gig at a church member's house. Rolling hills, horse farm - in in-town Atlanta (who knew)? There's space out there with people all around. It was soooo HOT! huge fans from the stables were off to the side, keeping us cool(ish). BBQ was served, every time someone walked by with a plate, any food not nailed down (especially potato chips) came sailing toward the stage area!
Taken many years ago with a Celtic band RiverSong with my good buddy on guitar. We're playing in a small local bar called the Cat & Fiddle. Arthritis and other health issues put an end to Chris's guitar playing and I just heard that the bar is closing down, another venue that didn't survive COVID. I've got lots of great memories, crammed into a tiny corner, playing small mom & pop bars for minimal pay (and sometimes just for the bar tab) for friends and folks that enjoyed what we were playing. I do miss playing with RiverSong.
In case anyone wonders, I'm playing a 6 string Brice bass strung up with Elixers. It wasn't a high end bass, but it did the job for many years. I spent a lot of time in that band watching Chris's left hand to read the chords he was playing. Good times.

It is always a great gig when you are playing with the guys from Graham Central Station and Earth Wind And Fire.
