How is the H2O treating you?... I have wanted one for some time. I was just wondering if the delay can self oscilate, and if the chorus is good in the low end department...

Alex
I've only had the H2O pedal for a week, and so far:
I really like the Chorus, it's not TOO over the top, it sounds really organic and lush. As far as the delay, excuse my ignorance, What is "self oscilate?" I really haven't had a chance to use the delay side of the pedal on a gig, but at home it sounds pretty awesome. The two effects are completely separate, you can have one or both on or off. All in all, I'm pretty stoked with the pedal, it is very gig friendly. I hope this helps.

Cool, I may think about finaly getting one... Thanks.

Alex

ps. self oscilate = runaway echos (when the feedback is at max)

Hi Tecx,
Just an update on the H2O. I do have to be carefull not to have the "repeat" knob alll of the way up, when I'm using the echo side, if I do have it maxed it starts to get louder and louder until it overdrives. But, if I have it at 3 o'clock it does give me endless repeats, at least it seems endless. The chorus effect does thin out the sound just a little, but I have a BDDI right after it to beef up the tone again. The chorus is very organic sounding. I like the pedal, and have been using it on gigs, and so far so good.
I need to learn how to post soundclips...that would be kind of cool.

Still not finished, though. I'm waiting for a Digitech Bass Synth Wah, I don't know if it will stay. And I'll put all this around a looper, when all pedals are definitively settled.

For those who will ask :

*The LS-2 is here used to bypass the Phase 90. When I have moded it in true bypass, I'll think of another use of this LS-2.

*The Tubeblower is in a custom built loop in the Muff. In fact, the sound passes throught the muff when muff active, and when bypassed, throught the Tubeblower. This way, I can switch between OD/disto and fuzz in one single switch.

In the future, I need a "changer" looper to reverse Trinity (wah/envelope filter) and distos order. I love the both configurations (wah before or after distos).

The one I've got was modded by a local guy here in Sydney (improved bass, more gain, blue LED!) but even without it's very nice, especially with the ability to blend. I was using it for a pretty fuzzy sound for driving rock basslines which is where the increased gain helped out. That said, its position on the board is now purely to provide colour to the effected out from the Unibass before I join the two paths back together (the little homemade box up on the top left of the pic).

For bass fuzz I'm now using the Prescription Electronics Experiences (yep, the blue box lower left - sadly it's an early one before they added the LEDs and it's a real pain to know what's on or off with it).
