Hey, thanks! Hopefully by Christmas time, this thing will be a monstrosity. And no, I figured that it would skyrocket into the hundreds, and I didn't feel like hounding my dad for his credit card, ya know?

in fact you are correct. i just checked that ebay item and it went up to $350 US... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41411&item=7336054947&rd=1 .

and yes i know exactly what you mean, except i ask my mum hehe :) i would use my own, but hey, its empty!

what are the next items to go on your board?

TaySTE: That is beautiful! Fellow 105Q brethren! I don't know about you, but I love mine. How do you like that Auto Q? I'm kinda interested in throwing one of those in my board (in a while.) Also, how do you like the echo park? I'm deciding between the Line 6 Echo park, Line 6 DL4, or Digitech Digidelay. I know the DL4 is a lot more different than the smaller stomboxes, but do you like the Echo Park?

Right now it's looking like a delay or octave. I want a Whammy (probably WH4) or one of those basic MXR blue octave pedals. I think i'm gonna go with a Whammy. After that will be a delay (read above your quote,) and probably the new MXR flange or something. There really isn't a point to having a flange if you have a phaser right?

well phasers and flangers do give quite different sounds. flangers will give you that tearing scratchy rise and fall sound. i tend to think that a phaser gives a sound more akin to a chorus than to a flanger.

Well that is what I have currently. Yon plank has since been cut to form two smaller boards. Each board is roughly 31" by 16". It won't win the biggest, the best, the most stealth, or the most expensive board awards, but it will do what I need.

I am waiting on my Medusa (for the empty board) and my Looper (to fill the space on the first board). As far as what I want to add to the empty board, an EH Bass Micro Synth, a RMC Robotalk, a reverb of some sort, and perhaps another delay or envelope filter.

As I begin to finish it I will post evolution pics.

Peace,
Adam

what i like about your board is that it has room to grow rather than forever trying to squeeze more pedals into an already cramped setup. you have some nice pedals too.. how does the old fuzz face sound with bass?

He had to discontinue the Medusa as the BBD chips became scarce, he is looking for replacemnts - but as of now, its out of production. Or so I have been told... :scowl:

How's that going? Have you heard any news, or are you still waiting/hoping?

I want one really bad, but it seems others do too, as the last eBay auction went for $430 (I was close, but I'm not gonna pay that much. :( )

Well, I have recently figured out that Musictoyz.com's In Stock feature isn't always updated.

When I ordered it was "in stock". That was over two months ago, before they were discontinued. That Red Witch is based out of New Zealand probably isn't helping the whole situation.

The man I've talked to at Musictoyz says that they are going to try and fill the back orders, but I'm not betting the farm on getting the Medusa anytime soon.

Well, I have quite a humble pedal board, but for what I do, It's more than enough.

I don't have to run through anything unless I need the effect thanks to the looper. I did have an EBS Multicomp on there too, but I decided to replace it with the looper and move into rack mounted territory as you can see in my plans below:

geekrigjpeg.gif

DBX 160A Compressor
Korg Rack Mounted Tuner (probably gonna be a DTR 2000)
Footswitch of some sort to control the octave effect on my amp.

Times like this I wish I had a job :bawl:

lol!
