do you have some samples of multicomp + BB preamp + Chorus? I'm really curious about what a chorus would do to the BB or what the BB would do to a chorus...

A self-made effect board (actually just a board with carpet on it).
The chain is Boss TU-2 - Danelectro BLT (hardly ever use it but it can be fun sometimes) - Korg ToneWorks G5 - Digitech Bass Synth Wah - Ibanez PD7 - Boss LMB3 - Behringer BEQ700 EQ - Behringer Preamp Booster.

The next effect will be Morley Dual Bass Wah and pretty soon I will buy a real and bigger board.

I might be able to record one at some point, but I leave my BB on just to add a bit of grit so not sure the soundclip would help you.

I used to have a the Boss chorus, octave and limiter on there but went for the slimmed down analogue approach and haven't looked back. Now I have rack stuff for compression and an aural exciter.

Here are the pedals that i've acquired recently. This is my first analong board. The Analogman and the Squishy were fairly decent E-bay finds.
You guys have any suggestions for the most appropriate order? Thanks.

i'd say...: mr. squishy, hematoma, little big muff, chorus.
so it's like: clean to compressor (so you get a nice, even tone going in)... then first gain stage (or main gain stage, whatever) with the hematoma... then second gain stage (crazy fuzzy from the muff)... then chorus (analog depth and warmth added to any or all of the above)... tu-2 at the start or finish (probably at the beginning, but up to you).

that's what i'd do.

I'm saving a place for an envelope filter of some sort in the near future. Would I put that before the compressor? Thanks again.

try both. some say that since an envelope filter relies on dynamics to sound its best, putting one after the compressor is a bad idea.
others say that as long as you aren't overcompressing, you'll get sufficient dynamics through to get sweet sounds out of the filter.

i've tried, and am still trying, both... i'm still not sure. they both sound different, that's for sure. compressor first smooths everything out going into the chain, so that everything sounds nice and even. i'm finding that compression after the filter sort of takes away from the filter for some reason. for now. but i may change my mind.

bottom line: experiment.

I personally would go Little Big muff -> HBE -> Chorus -> Comp and get some sort of true bypass A/B box for the tuner and then place that first.

I'll be posting some clips of the Tonefactor filter as soon as I get it so that might be a consideration for you.

Cool, i've been wondering about that filter. I know someone here uses one, but it escapes me at this time.

So, this "ad" for the Pedaltrain has some type of looper going into the tuner. Is this an example of what you're talking about?

i'd say...: mr. squishy, hematoma, little big muff, chorus

Personally, I'd switch the comp and chorus. So: Tuner (for mute) -> Analogman Chorus -> Hematoma -> LBM -> Mr. Squishy

If you try this way set the chorus for slooooow, and deeeeep. It'll really bring out the od/fuzz!
