The flash kinda ruined the picture.
EHX Big Muff >> EHX Holy Grail >> Boss Super Chorus CH-1 >>EHX Small Stone

I like to keep it simple.

you like EHX, no? ;) +1 to what Spanky said.

I haven't gotten through this whole thread yet (I will though!), but here's my board.

DS1>>Ashdown Drive Plus>>Digitech PDS 20/20>>DOD FX30B Gate Loop (In loop: Ashdown Sub Octave>Boss AW3>Boss PS3>4ms Trem Lune)>>Hartke 350 Watt Head with Alesis Midiverb II in the effects loop (not shown).

Everything is powered by a 1 Spot. The vocalist in the band I play in and I built the board. We play some experimental, weird grindcore type stuff. The myspace is in my sig.

I need to clean up the cabling and make it neater. I also need to decorate the Trem Lune a little. Maybe paint the box.

I'd like to replace the FX30B with a loop that offers the option of being a feedback loop. I'm still working on building that.

The PDS 20/20 is probably the most interesting part of my setup. I keep it set to a really short delay time and when I stomp it, I usually hit the on and the Inf Repeat buttons simultaneously to get a stutter edit (think Aphex Twin or Venetian Snares or if you don't know that stuff then the vocals from NIN's Star****ers) type sound. If I then introduce the modulation section of the pedal, it goes completely nuts. I love it.

Hope this crazy long post was interesting to someone. I love looking at all these boards, but sometimes I wish people would explain how they use them a little more.

How are you liking that sub-octave plus?

In reference to my pedal board (P. 36, top), Tecx said:

Behringer and a SuperFuzz NEVER should meet...

Well, heck. Ya gotta play what you have. I happen to find the Behringer a very nice box for a sweet price. And I've had the Univox since the 60's, so although I'm aware that it's unusual today, it's an old friend to me. I just started a separate thread asking if anyone else has one and uses it for bass....

And BTW, the controls are indeed simple. One 2-position Tone switch and two control knobs, all on the left side.

How are you liking that sub-octave plus?

I like it enough to have it on my board. I think it's main flaw, however, is the lack of a volume control for the clean signal. 4/5 of the knobs are volume controls, and yet, you can't control the clean tone relative to the octave tones. Not a deal-breaker, but something that I wish I could control. The distortion on the octave tone is nice, and it lets me sound really synthy when combined with the AW3. Actually it's even better with the Ashdown filter, but I need the AW3 on the board, because some of our songs require its other Wah options.

I just won a DOD Meat Box on ebay, and I'll be comparing it. Winner take board space!

Pics Part 1:

Pedalboard 1, "Matilda", and Pedalboard 2,"Lily".

Matilda is the larger board, and Lily is the smaller board.

Signal Chain is: [Matilda]MXR Blue Box>Akai Unibass>EHX HOG>BOSS SYB-5>BOSS ODB-3>EHX English Muff'n>Dunlop Crybaby Bass>Moog Moogerfooger MF-101 Lowpass Filter "Bob">Digitech Bass Synth Wah Envelope Filter[/Matilda]>[Lily]BOSS OC-3>BOSS CEB-3 Bass Chorus>MXR Flanger M117R>Moog Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser "Robert" with the Sweep connected to my CP-251 Control Processor's Sample And Hold.[/Lily]

BTW, Moogboy, do you like all those boss pedals? It seems like a large jump in quality from foogers to measly boss and digitech pedals. Maybe i'm being an effects snob... but it's just my 2p :)

i love all of the pedals on my board. they all have a use in the music that i play, and its normal for me to use each effect for something each time i play.
