here's my humble studio:

For software I use guitar rig and audition 2.0

here is my "little" studio:

And sometimes, when i need more tracks, i send all recorded tracks in my computer and mix the tune with a soft named Cakewalk.
For record rehearsals, one voice mike (sort of SM58) in one track of the BR and it's good for our need.

DAW = Sonar 5 Studio

MIDI =
- Roland SMPU-64 4 ports x 16 ch. MIDI interface
- Roland PC200 keyboard controller
- Yamaha MU90r multitimbral tone module (my GM source)
- Kawai K1r multitimbral tone module, (my ancient rack-mount with some decent Korg M-1 type of sounds in it)
- Vintage Yamaha RY-30 drum machine ("percussion synthesizer" they call it, the one with the cool multi-function wheel).

Audio / Digital =

- Edirol DA-2496 8in - 8out A/D-D/A audio interface
- ART Pro MPA 2ch tube mic preamp
- ART Pro VLA 2ch tube compressor
- Electro Harmonix 12AY7 tube mic preamp
- Rode NT1 studio condenser mic
- Audio Technica AT3035 studio condenser mic
- Radial Engineering Pro D2 passive stereo DI
- Traynor YBA200 & Peavey 210TVX
- Yamaha MG 12/4 mixer for monitoring
- Yamaha MSP5 active nearfield monitors

The DI is just the ticket for 2 channel bass tracking.
Bass > DI
DI thru > Genz Benz amp (Audio Technica AT3035 on the cab)
DI balanced > focusrite preamp with compressor or ART tube preamp for direct tracking. With the ART I can daisy chain the output of one channel to the input of the other channel for tube effects.

Focusrite Platinum Trak Master was sold. Great front end for bass, very flexible channel strip, but didn't sound good enough on acoustic guitar / vox to keep vs. the ART stuff.

out with the old, in with the older :)

i just scored this desk from work...free!!!. previously used here > http://img.photoamp.com/i/8hPKHY.jpg i'm working on some modifications. as you see, i made a tray to fill in the whole to hold my Midi. doing some other things, will update. got things set up temp for now.

if anyone would be nice to suggest some "required" rack equipment, would appreciate it. i know i'm going to get atleast one Furman for power, maybe one 31 band EQ. that should leave me enough space for a few things things depending on equipment size.

Here are a few pics of studio my guitar player has recently opened with a friend. We use it to record whenever we can.

There are some amazing vintage and rare pieces of keyboard and synth stuff in there!

Creating the magic!!

We are really very lucky to be able to use this place. It is a real labour of love but so worth the stress!!

There are some great setups here. At home I use Ableton Live 5 and my laptop with my pod xt pro and vigier basses. In the studio we use Digital Performer.

Cheers
Chris

Alright. I re-arranged my studio space a few weeks ago. Basically, I had bought a giant digital piano and there was nowhere to really put it. I also really wanted to get a couch in here, and when I told my dad he said there was no way in hell I would fit a couch into this little room with everything else. So I proved him wrong. HA! :D

(going around the room clockwise more or less)
