How's Tuesday, May 9 looking?
Fine here, My gig hits at 6pm that day but we should be done before that is in the way.

Waiting on Bowlus...Oh well there you go. I guess thats that.

So let me check on the venue. I'll either get the kung fu place next door or the studio down the street.

Times?

So, I'm looking at 6 or 7 folks between 10 and 4 on Tuesday the 9th. I think.

Any more?

Its a bit to large a group for my home studio so I'll work out venue details and get back. Any venue will be near my shop.

Invalid Link Removed for shop directions. The venue will most likely be next door or perhaps two blocks west.

I'll give more specifics when I figure out where we are going.

Kung fu dude is out of the mix. He's a little weird about his mats and we'd have to be out by 2:30p.

The guitar teacher on the end has enough space for us. It's about 500sq ft empty so there should be room for 6 to 10 DB and the amps and people. I still need to clear the noise with the neighbor but we can use his place from 11am to 3:30pm. Probably enough time.

To create proper belchage I'll make sure we have food and beverage. A lunch spread so save room for some chow. Any special requests let me know.

The directions would be just as on the link above as his studio is in the same building as my shop.

We'd need to have people drop the gear in the place and then find on street parking as we don't want to clog up our tiny lot with our hang.

I also made backup arrangements at a dance studio around the corner if things get weird so I'm thinking we're set.

Who's in for sure, I need a headcount.

I'm in! I'll bring a Focus and a LaScala with FC and AMT. Phil, did you say you had a 208 at yer place? That would save some space in my vehicle. Also, not that it matters, but foodwise I don't do mammals or sugar (long story), but if it's a problem I can pick up a chicken sandwich or something on the way.

Yea I've got two 208s, leave yers at home. I'll have the Cleveland, some old Fenders and probably some other stuff in the van if the urge strikes. I'll have a Realist, an Underwood, and the AMT loose that could be put on things if sombody wants to try them. I encourage everyone to haul their DB's. I love playing other peoples stuff.

I'll be sure to have nonmammalian and sugar free options. Can't have a party without some form of chicken in the wings.:p

Tom - I'd love to see the IP112 and any Markbass stuff you feel like schlepping up next to the Focus 2R and a VL208. I'm not usually into playing more than one cab at once, but I can't think of a better chance to do an A/B with the best of the best. We should work out some kinda preamp/blender action for the IP cab, though, since I like the mic/pup thing.

Phil - the AMT will come in handy if I can fit both LaScalas in the Civic...the second one won't have a built in mic. Come to think of it, it won't have a case yet, either. But it'll be good to compare LaScala and Cleveland side by side. Still got Dominants on the Cleveland?

Ooh, and anybody got a portable recording device? I bet T-BAG would rather hear an mp3 of the belch action than get a ziplock bag in the mail...

Cleveburg has been wearing Animas for the last month or so. Doms are on the old German ply. I second the little cab thing. I'm all about trying a bunch of little guys. (hmm, that didn't read so well did it).

The AMT is a super pre so it's got the 1/4" out. I'll have the Raven Labs blender thing and a little Mackie 1202 I'll throw in the truck if we need it for the IP 112. I'm sure Tom can throw in one or two of his fun preamps too.

I'll have to punt on the recording thing. I'm way behind the times there.

I am in, but as far as gear goes I havn't got anything even close to un-embarasing for BD amplifictation....come to think of it for any amplification.....man I hate being a poor college kid...ack.
I do have an old 1960's fender bassman head sitting about though..motsly use it for guitar, but now I wonder what my DB would sound like through it....hm

Anybody mind if I invite a few local DB players that have no computer skills?

Please do! We can make fun of them. :p

Just kidding, obviously. :p

Hey, Phil, is Karl Gunther still around town? I'd love to see him again and hear him play (either upright or electric).

Tom.
