Double Bass Potential Ohio DB amp shootout/hang/axecheck/ belchfest

Confirmed the venue and got all required permissions. The same building as my shop where they give lessons. Should be just the right size. Sort of dumpy but it should do fine.

People can arrive any time they like after 9:30am when I plan on arriving. I've got the room from whenever till 3pm and we can hang in my shop and spin old records until we get started.

Not going to be anywhere near as fashionable as a gormet chef and a walk across an historic bridge like the NYC hang. You'll have to be content with a deli tray and the belch contest most likely won by Pitz Fitzbelcher who always wins the most disgusting award wherever he goes.

Only if I cheat and chug a couple of warm diet cokes. I'm a wuss, but a disgusting wuss!

If I leave here at 8, I can meet up with Rob between 9-10 and hopefully get there between 11-12. Hope that's not too late.

I was REALLY considering using some expiring freq flyer miles and making it to this party...but now it looks like I'm gonna be down for knee surgery. Dammit. You guys have a blast!

Sorry to hear that. :(

Good luck with the knee surgery, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Tom.

On the topic of what gear we'll have on hand, here is what I am going to try and fit in the car:

Bergantino IP112
EA CxL-112L
EA NL-210
EA VL-108 (two)
EA Wizzy (one or two?)
Epifani T-110UL
Epifani T-112 (two)
Glockenklang Duo
Low Down Sound 3-way neo 1x8
Low Down Sound 2-way neo 3x8
Low Down Sound 3-way neo 3x8

Raezer's Edge Bass 10
Raezer's Edge Bass 12-400

Preamps/Misc.:

I may or may not have room for my Kay, but I'm sure that we'll have one or two other Kays there, right? Mine has the Barbera bridge, and I have a Revolution Solo (which maybe Phil could help me fit to my bridge! ;)). If I bring the Kay, I'll probably leave a couple cabs at home.

Oh, and if people would like me to bring down a couple of my electric basses, just let me know which one's you might want to check out.

Tom.

It looks like that jury trial is off, but I have to confirm with the judge.

Tom.

You get busted again Tom?!?!

Wish I could be there, but looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it Tom.

Have fun!

Jesus, Tom...What are you driving? Noah's Ark?

Looking forward to hearing the Berg IP, Markbass, and LDS stuff. I'm hoping to have my modded AI Focus 2R back by then, but beyond that I just hope to be playing!

I can fit an amazing amount of gear in my S6 Avant!

But, if I have to, I can always haul the 5' x 12' enclosed trailer that my band just picked up. :D

Tom.
