Geez, okay

Early 65 Jazz, 64 P

Old Pics, I need to update

My '66 P. As it arrived to me with a body refin and a J pickup added. Non-original pickguard, but otherwise, all original. Pickup and bridge covers in the case. It actually had Grover Titan tuners on it, but the original tuners were in the case, too, complete with the original mounting screws! They were only missing one washer, from the back side of one tuner.

And the same bass after a fabulous restoration job on the body by johnk_10.

This was saved in my watch list and The reason I am posting it is because the seller is claiming that it is finest example of a first year Jazz bass that exists, so if you didn't get a chance to see it here it is.Its not mine so if that offends anyone I will take it down and put my tail between my legs. I just thought as long as we are drooling over these things.......

Is it OK that I posted it and is it OK that I post the selling price was 37k?
I am still a newb.
But one day, one will be mine.
Can I say WOW !!!!
I love how thick the outer finish is. Very common in early Fenders.
Insane nice.

Thanks for sharing. The more I see the more I fall in love with all of these things.
Maybe I'll luck out and score another some time in my life.- 1SHOT1HIT

Nope, you'll not luck out again. Finding that Shell Pink bass automatically prohibits you from EVER finding another desirable vintage bass. And, you should be OK with that.:D

Lol, I will give you the last part, yep, I'm perfectly fine with it if it never happens.
But the will, want, and determination to hit another huge score is a beast all of its own, completely out of my control.
