Production Medium Scale Bass Guitars

What are some production models of medium scale (32") bass guitars? The only ones I know of are
Fender Stu Hamm Urge I
Alembic Spoiler/Persuader
There has to be more though. My budget is probably no more than $1500-ish on the used market.

Japanese Fenders and 80's Squiers
Warwick Rockbass in 4 and 5
New fender Squier tele bass

For older models -
Stu Hamm Urge
Kubicki Ex Factor
Ibanez GAXB150
Ibanez Roadstar II
Yamaha Motion B
Yamaha RBX-170
Dean Stylist
Aria Pro II TSB-400 (and maybe the 300 as well)
Aria Pro II TSB (my favorite so far)
Aria 16GB 38 m and 40 m
Aria Cardial CSB-300
Westone (one or two models)

Check out the TB "Medium Scale Bass Club" thread. You can see a lot of stuff there. I have the MIJ/CIJ medium Jazz and P and they are both fantastic to play.

TB member ebonalley scored one of the 5 stringers from NAMM. Don't know when they will be on the retail market. Gotta save my pennies. I think I posted photos of it on the medium scale thread.

MIJ & CIJ Fenders.

Not all of them; I have two CIJs, a '97 FL Jazz and an '06 62RI P. Both are 34". So, I guess you need to check the specs. Interestingly, the link you provided provides the scale in mm which converts to 16 in. In Japan, they must consider scale to be nut to 12th fret.

Nicely done!

IIRC, the Aria Pro II TSB & CSB series were all medium scale. and yes, the TSB series were cool, with the CSBs not far behind on the coolness scale.

The retail on that comes to $847 today. Even with shipping, you are well under your budget ceiling...and that 62 is one sweet looking Fender.

For $1500 used, you could buy virtually any production model you want.

You can build a gorgeous 32 inch Jazz bass with Warmoth parts.

Pricey but you will have a totally custom bass - and fun putting it together.

Might I add (did I miss it?) the Fender Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster bass which Fender released along with the Fender Jaguar reverse pawn shop model - the first medium scale offerings from Fender since the original Stu Hamm Urge I.

Nice necks, much more substantial and very close in width to the full scale necks - a different feel than the Fender Japan medium scales, which are still super nice.
