PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Swapped out my Broughton Messenger for the Aguilar AG pre, added in the Saturnworks active summer, added back in the Broughton HPLPF, and moved the Infinity looper later in the chain.

Swapped a pedal, a You're Doom that had been in the loop of the Merbl for an Octabvre in front of it. I don't need either for my current gig, but honestly I'm liking the Fifth Gear feeding the Merbl works for all my envelope sounds, so the Doom was a distraction. I'm not really using octave in my gig, but I suppose there are a few spots in our set tomorrow that stepping on it would be appropriate.

Honestly, I'm finding that more and more, I'm just going Cali76CB > Oracle and am happy with it.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Jr. MAX to replace the Jr. I managed to get everything I wanted on except the Silver Deluxe, but I haven't even plugged it in yet. I never planned on having a Broughton board.

Once I get it wired up, it will hopefully make it to the tidy pedalboard thread. Lofty aspirations...

Update of my board.
As of now, it is still on a carpet on the floor with wires everywhere. This pedalboard map is easier to read :)

I ll get my DESS HPB2 720 in 2 weeks ! Almost done with the noodles on the carpet hahah.

Other than that, I added a Vulcan XL, and added a mono mixer to have, if I want, an external source trigger my compressor (sidechain compression) especially the drummer's kick.
One other improvement would be to change the Slö for the Slöer. I like its light reverb tone. But maybe I ll never use it .... and it is not cheap !

Octabvre (tbd), Mono Mixer (fall) and Noble (spring 24) are still missing for the moment but they are either ordered or pending.

Thank you for suggesting side-chain compression in a pedalboard context. What is the kick in? Click? MIDI? Onset detector? I can think of a few ways to do this (and one easy one cuz ZOIA), but am curious what you're doing.

Origin Effects infusion updates. I’m trying to decide on the Cali76 CB or my Omnicomp. They’re both so subtly great, tough to decide. The BEAD is a beast!

I’ve had both (Cali and Omni) and the Cali76 was just that much better- easier to dial in, sweeter tone, and played better with other Origin products.
