He was the trailblazer of Rock guitar of my generation. Everybody taps, at least a little, because of Eddie Van Halen.

i wasn't a really a huge fan, but i saw him live once, with a friend/fan, and i can relate to his 'awesomeness'. it was with DL Roth: great show/showmen! RIP.
