We had concerns about set list length since like 4 months.
Actually this as always been a concern to me as shows were booked when we didn't have enough songs to cover the length, and had to resort twice to play back the first song of the set as an encore. Late people would appreciate.
So I talked with a guitar player and said we just have to work the songs home so as we can play them straight at rehearsal.
He said, "i don't want to learn songs for nothing".
So next rehearsal we wanted to work the songs we try to integrate since 3 months now but could practice them only twice.
He said right of the bat "i didn't learned this songs".
We played them anyway, with him figuring them out during the rehearsal.
The thread title suggests not going to rehearsals, but going to rehearsals without knowing the material at all is like adding insult to injury
I would prefer him stay home and practice the songs during that rehearsal time, and us rehearsing without someone rubbing your face in the fact he didn't even care listening the songs.
What is crazy he is that he is aspiring being professional and make money out of that band.
I don't want to make a living out of music, and yet I find this offending and delusional.
I guess is weed smoking doesn't help.
