Recommend a looper.....

I am considering a Jamman in the near future. I dig that it can hookup to my computer to archive my loops.

I've tried some software based loopers in the past and I've always ended up with latency issues. Anyone have this problem?

Hey I am considering getting a jamman too. does the looper come with some sorta software to store your loops on your pc, Also what format are they saved as, wav, some proprietary format?

It's probably out of your price range at $1500 but the new Looperlative LP1 is probably the best looper you can buy today. Check out their web site:

I'm interested in getting a looper, specifically for home practice and recording.

I'm looking for suggestions for a good quality, user-friendly, low price looper with PC hookup capabilities.

The only lower-price loopers that I know of are the Boss looper and the Digitech Jamman. I've heard many good things about the Jamman and I've been leaning that way, but I'm open to other suggestions.

If you decide on the Boss RC-20XL, I might be selling mine. It's mint and I'd give you a good deal on it. My Echoplex is now my 2nd looper since I picked up a Looperlative (see previous post).

I had some bad experiences with a Jamman:

the looper started acting weird; 1 second delays between pressing the pedal and the loop starting.

adding loops adds noise, don't like that

it changes my sound, don't like that either

Returned it and got my money back.

The Digitech doesn't need special software to upload the loops. I believe they are saved as MP3s.

Thanks for the offer, but I already bought a JamMan. It was the better product for me because of the USB and flash memory capabilites. Thanks for the offer!

Maybe you had a lemon? My Jamman, while seeming to compress the sound a tiny bit, hasn't had any of these problems.

Digitech jamman... easily the best 300$ i've spent. I have no noise problems or timing issues with mine.
