Been a while since I compared the two, but 10:00 is right around where it matches the output of my Countryman best I remember. Moot point since it sounds the same at whatever level, though.

Exactly what I love about it! Once I went back to tube amps, I decided I liked the lack of compression much better and quit using them. But I hear the Compressore is a very good one, so if you like compression, you'd probably dig it.Has anyone tried running a Markbass Compressore in front of the REDDI? I just ordered one to try out. I love the REDDI but I do need some compression (the tube doesn't compress enough on its own).

Although I've tried a few compressors in front of my amp/DI live over the years they've never done anything for my stage sound I felt was worth the cost or effort of using one.
Compression after the DI in a recording situation is a different story. Doing that can really help slot the bass but it's an effect not compensation for any lack of technique. I always wonder why this idea that a compressor will help inadequate technique has so much traction amongst bassists. I makes no sense to me at all. Used well it's far too subtle to do that.
Make sure that the Thru jack NUT is Tight... And you are saying that there is no hum in the house?
