REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-III

I could actually do that too since I have enough room in my rack. I figured heavy duty Velcro would work especially if a person was easy with their gear lol.
Pardon my dumb question, but are the REDDI DI mainly used for recording rather live situation? How do the differ from Aguilar TH Di and the Sadowski DI/ Preamp?
Well I just scored a Brand new Reddi from my sweetwater rep at an amazing price and also ordered a Gator case for safety transport. I will use this thing alot for live and n the recording studio. Can't wait to see what all the hype is about for myself.
RedDI has only one pot, to set your level, and an on/off switch. No EQ controls. It does just one thing, and does it very well.
After going through this whole thread you guys are killing me. i may have to call in sick to work Thursday when my Reddi comes in so I can play with it all day lol.
Friday, too. You'll still be astounded by the sound of it at that point. I've had one for roughly two years now, and I still sit down to play it, and just listen to the beauty of it. I've used it to DI every instrument in my house: bass, synth, guitar, e. piano, and more. It never disappoints, always bringing a true organic sound and 3D dimension to anything plugged into it.
You can use it live or in studio. I use mine pretty much exclusively for live, though I have recorded with it, and it's worth every penny for live IMHO. Turns the PA into a giant clean-running tube bass amp
However, it's not really a preamp like the TH and Sadowsky, though there are certain situations you can use it as one. I haven't been able to make it work as a preamp by bypassing the pres in my amps, but there are some amps it works with. But while those are excellent preamps, they don't sound like a tube amp the way the REDDI does. Other than its size and its tube and giant iron output transformer, it's no different than any other DI on the market. I always tell people that the REDDI does one thing incredibly well, and that's all I wanted it to do, and I'm happy.
Well I can officialy say that I own a Reddi. Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about lol.

Alright I guess you guys know a little something about good bass sound. What can I say but this thing is amazing . Perfect bass tone right out if the gate through our church system and even better sound through my IEM's. This blows any DI I've ever seen and played. Thanks Jimmym for great advice.

Yep there is nothing like it for FOH or IEMs... It is a plug and play unit. It has helped so much.. FOH guys love it.. Its goes some of their work for them.. Mine must be 10 years old by now. Still has original tube.. And it has been on allot of travels!!! Even dropped by a guitar player about 7 years ago.. Its a tank.... My REDDI has been the one constant in my gear ever since...

Maybe instead of another bass (seems my Roscoe should be good enough) I should try a REDDI. My only gig is church with FOH and IEM's.
Stevec, I'm telling you you will thank yourself for it. The tone is so much clearer and fat. I tested it with my Ampeg 3pro going through the system and just the Reddi going through the house tonight and iEM and the difference was amazing. I will never be without one now. Best money I've ever spent.
