And finally, a gig rig shot:

Nice! This was my rig tonight at a 700 seat theater in Ocala backing up Lou Christie ("Lightning Strikes", "Two Faces Have I") and a 40 minute opening set with just our band. Got a standing O for my rendition of "Sweet Home Chicago" where we feature the horns and I do my wacky upright stunts. Also got an extended solo in Lou's set, which is quite rare that I even get a solo. And when I hit stun on the VTD and kicked in the OC-2 to get some big fat low notes on a couple of Lou's dramatic songs with Hollywood endings, you should have seen those old people's heads get pinned back!

Well Lou may have gone home with all the money, but I had all the fun tonight. That counts for something, doesn't it? No? Yeah, you're right...would have dug the money he gets, but not like I worked for free ;) I got paid. Pretty decently for not having to do anything except surround myself with the most awesome gear on earth and play music I like for a couple hours ;)

Aw crap. I just got GAS beat, I read 20 pages thinking I'm safe, and you tell me I can get it running on 240v with a goddamn screwdriver without opening the case.

All of a sudden I'm getting gigs on upright. I have a big feedback problem which I get around with a parametric in the fx loop and d180 line out speaker transformer into borrowed "whatever" DI. The feedback and parametric gets my way with soundguy. So I'm not too badly off.

Mmmmmmmmm, tasty DI every time gas. I don't know how useful it would be unless I can take both balanced and unbalanced outputs of the parametric or pad down the input of the Reddi. I've got a compressor which would take to that, without compression unless wanted.

The Reddi would be ten times more useful as a live rig device if it was omnivorous or even better, had line thru and DI outs with level control.

The REDDI does have a level control for the DI out with a pretty significant amount of gain you can add or take away. The line thru ain't happening, but I can't see how it would annoy you with a D-180, though ;) But good call on using the speaker out DI.

Honestly, I'd look to your upright or pickup causing the feedback unless you just play crazy loud, and you might want to check out some different strategies to fix it. Sometimes it's as simple as a pickup not making good contact. Always had that problem with the Fishman BP-100.

Thanks Peter...that was my very first Fender I bought new in 76. Been through 3 necks, 6 pickup changes, and lord knows how many pickguards, but man, does she sing!
