Relationship Q

I long distance dated a girl back when I was a young man of 20.

It lasted a few weeks, I sent her flowers for Christmas, and then I broke it off for some local tail.
I liked the girl a lot, but I just couldnt keep it up.

It's not worth it. No person shines like gold no matter how much rubbing you do. If you can't find one you want you've been staring too long.

Long distance=long string of bs to put up with.

Now if only I can shake wanting to grab some fine ghetto booty...

Im inclined to agree with you, in regards to my own position on it. Im sure, though, that there are others out there who have another take and have made it work. But no, its definitely not for me.

Im not sure what youre getting at here. I think one could also argue that anyone can shine like gold, its just a matter of how thick of blinders one is wearing.
Ive got me mine (in regards to the latter part). No staring for me. Ok, well no staring for me alone. I stare for two.

I wouldnt call it a "long string of bs", myself. It sucks not be able to be in the presence of the person you have feelings for, and even more so when you cant be certain of if/when you'll get to see them.

Planning a trip to Los Angeles? :p

That arguing thing...that's a test. Do not take the bait. Let her freak out. You stay calm. When she talks about her feelings, she's not actually talking about you. Fix physical objects that are broken....door handles, flat tires, etc. Her emotional challenges are not "things" for you to "fix."

If she feels you screwed up, tell her you are sorry. Sorry about her frustrations/perceptions, whatever. Bring her flowers and chocolate. Smile. Whatever you do, don't take the bait.

1. So that's one thing to agree on.
2. I'm saying there's basically not much point in focusing on someone unless you're really involved. Most girls I used to consider "golden" in reality revealed they had personalities that were golden as tin foil with the funny gold coloration.
3. Unless someone died, you've lost your job, or some other life changing catastrophe occurs in which shouting that I need to respond to occurs, I could give a **** about someone's mopey feelings.
4. That whole expedition is too late for my 20s, I'm thinking my 30s. Still have a lot of changing to do. Cali....not sure about it. But generally there's just too many variables without practically starting another thread. Generally two of the biggest factors of course are tradition vs what you're looking for.

Hmmm...medium sized....

Maybe Austin or Portland?

Oh yeah speaking of ghetto booty...one chick..sorry...woman..was arrested in chicago for ..seriously..using fix-a-flat to inject in her customers behinds to make them bigger and rounder....

fix-a-flat.....Its not just for tires anymore.

Okay....

Tattoos....How much body coverage is too much? Give a percentage and a location no-no. Like..absolutely no tattoos..on this or that part of her body.

My wife's got a tat on her arm and is thinking about getting a half-sleeve. I love tats on girls so long as they're tasteful. I've seen some really bad ones. Actually when she goes, I'm probably going in for my first inking as well.

Tattoos.....not really a fan. My girlfriend has a few but at least they're little pieces. I find it smart as well she hasn't done her wrists or forearms. It's more like a breasts legs thighs thing for her for now. Which I don't mind because, hey, I like surprises. Her folks on the other hands have sleeves. I remember the gf asked about tats or getting a new one. Politely I suggested she get bulls-eyes where it counted, to be somewhat helpful. She declined.

I really don't get the whole body mod thing.....you go to a shop, get ink that's from god knows where, and since you never got a pony as a girl you get a pony on your leg? I think of scarring as a natural more interesting form of art. I remember I knew a guy who liked taking a pencil and "erasing" himself. Interesting. I think for a girl if she really wants it, have her pick a difficultly sensitive spot (there are plenty ;)) to get it. That'll make an impact. Otherwise I just think its one of these really.....just too common things.

Plenty can be well done, doesn't make it more original. I'd rather have a branding on my back of "not from this world".

I figured some time ago that my appreciation of a given tattoo means nothing as it's something between an individual and his flesh. Since then I only "evaluate" the quality rather than anything else.

Old school and Americana tats have nothing original, I don't think anybody expects them to be original, yet if somebody wants to have one, it's their call.
