Randy was a great bass player, songwriter and amazing singer. By all accounts, he was also a super nice guy. I was sad to hear of this. I knew he had been in poor health for many years.

I particularly enjoyed his bass playing on "One Of These Nights" and "Life in the Fast Lane".

His lead vocals on "Take it to the Limit" were outstanding and his background vocals were an integral part of The Eagles' sound.

Randy had such an awesome singing voice, and he was an excellent bassist. RIP Randy!

An excellent example of Randy's awesome singing voice is the song "Too Many Hands" on the One of These Nights album.

Thank you for the music brother. The bass lines and that sweet voice made the songs he sang among my favorites on the early Eagles albums. This one hurts a little more than usual.

I'm sorry to hear this. He was one of my biggest influences. He had an ability to make a tuneful bassline where it wasn't necessarily obvious. Unquestionably great singer, too.
