OOPSThe bumble bee analogy is very misunderstood and misused, and usually used to lampoon a perceived arrogance within the scientific community (deeply unfairly, in my opinion).
Rather than the claim coming from any aerodynamicist, it is actually usually attributed the French entomologist Antoine Magnan. The truer message is that bumble bees shouldn't be able to fly according to the aerodynamic models used at the time. This is due to limitations and assumptions within the model(s), rather than bumble bees somehow trumping the laws of gravity etc. If you feed observed data into your model and get poor results then it is time for a new model! There isn't a mystery to how bumble bees fly, it is simply that their ability to fly has been understood by degrees over time. Likewise the design of aircraft has been improved over time as well.
Never mindThat is maybe taking it a bit far. Rickles is of another era, and I see him a bit as the "Fast Talking High Trousers" sketch from Family Guy.
This guy is living proof that it's time to add some chlorine to the gene pool.
I found my grandmother's slow and agonizing death funnier than this pant load. Tell me what I don't "get ".Dave's funnier than hell. Sadly, you just don't get it.
He's a good bassist too.
Cthulhu, dude!
I've actually read the Necronomicon, cover to cover.
Ha, the luthier I go to now thinks Japanese guitars (Ibanez) are better than U.S.-made.
My old 77 Ric 4001 had a very playable neck. More like a jazz than a P. I think the 4003's (current) are fatter.I would buy a Ric in a heartbeat if I could find a neck profile I liked. Nothing sounds like a Ric. This is from a guy that plays only Fender MIJ Jazz necks (well one MIJ P neck) and is an ardent admirer of Fender's simple, easy to repair and adjust construction methodology.
Sorry if this has been posted before ... but this guys has some opinions
(please note I don't share them, I just found this hilarious)
