RIP Lemmy Kilmister

That's horrible I read the article and it said he learned of the disease on Dec 26th? where were the doctors? was this a late diagnosis? I must be missing something?.

Some forms kill you within a week, some take years. No matter what if it was just two days there was nothing left that would've helped him.

Never has the death of a stranger hit me this hard.

It's probably best he didn't know for long. He would have been so pissed had it been caught 3 years ago and he went through treatments, nausea, hair loss yada yada yada. That kind of guy wanted to burn out quick and not fade away. He was on stage just a few weeks ago, right?

I was no superfan of the band. But you gotta hand it to the guy. He was only a couple years younger than my dad and throwing down 'til the end.....if you're into that kind of thing. Most guys his age were wearing ugly plaid shorts and sandals and black socks bitching about kids these days and the price of bananas.

Dammit dammit and f***. Told myself to make sure I went to their show a couple years ago and didn't. Saw them just once. It was intense. What a band. What a bassist /frontman. Gone. Dammit and f***.
I had no idea he had cancer. I should have. My old boss and mentor Terrence, who I revered had the same thing. Bad back pain - sometimes the calling card of advanced prostate cancer. None of us, including him saw it or were willing to see it until it was too late. Watch it, guys.

Be well. Rock On, Lemmy. Enjoy his footage. You'll never see anything like it again. Love him or hate him, he was unique.
