I had no idea the number of Merlin amps was so low...! Actually, I tried to order another cab from the guy who made them, but he couldn't figure out how to handle the VAT and then stopped replying to my e-mails... didn't REALLY need it, anyway :p

And yes, it is a passive amp, which is very cool. All pots are cut only, with normal volume at 10. I have a lousy pic of my stack here:

That's one of the best amps I've seen and tried so far.

I'm still toying with the idea of getting one!
Very nice indeed!!!:hyper:

That was quick :)

I really like the silver and the Mercedes Ruby ones.
Not really a fan of the sparkly finish, but Jens seems to love that a lot

The electronics are also "new" in a way.
They're the same as the Cora C3 but can be switched passive/active => in passive the "high"-knob becomes "Tone"-knob.
With triplebuckers, if you pull 2 of the knobs you switch to single-coil. So, no more separate switches for triple/single.

Mine will be somewhat different.
It'll probably have smaller spacing (like the Cora), 34.5" scale, triplebuckers, and some changes in the design.

I'll go to Deidesheim in February to discuss everything and choose the top/finish. Then wait some more for it to be finished.
I think I asked Jens for a single-cut in the summer of 2010.
It's been a long wait, but I'm sure it'll be worth every minute.

Edit: I saw your Okon. Nice!!!

Did you plan which dates you're going, Frizzle? It seems Jens isn't there on all the dates I've suggested so far, and right now I'm hoping he'll send me some dates that work soon.

Thanks for the info on the new electronics, btw, it's nice to know what options there are.
