Ritter with buckle rash

That said I do get a bit upset when I ding either the headstock or body of a bass that I really like. The back I care substantially less about

the player makes the bass, the bass does not make the player..nor does it hold the players pants up. kudos on playing it and not idolizing it.

if youre spending thousands on basses that dont get out and get played youre kind of a fool or you have money to burn...and when you play basses out s*** happens.

if you dont i really dont see the point of a bass THAT expensive..but to each their own.. when i say out i simply mean out and about..weither it be jammin in a bar or on a huge stage or rocking with your boys in a jam spot or garage or what have you. any time you stand up with a bass you automatically stand the risk of bad things happening. i was more commeneting on people who buy these instruments hoping they can just stare at them and hope they get better through visual osmosis

I'll support the general sentiment in this thread - sounds like somebody is enjoying and playing their Ritter like they should !

My Ritters don't have any dents or bruises yet, but they will get them over time, I think. Not intentionally, of course, but they will be used to play music and be enjoyed to the fullest. I don't intend to ever sell any of them, I don't see them as monetary value (except if they were stolen, of course), so I don't get that whole protectionist approach to basses, no matter what price tag they come with.

wow-----pretty cavalier attitude towards taking care of equipment regarding damage that is so easy to avoid. I was shocked someone could be so slovenly about the care of their bass---any bass, cheap or expensive. But to each their own.
I have played the h out of an instrument and kept it sharp---but that's just me. Hey, I guess if it ain't mine its none o' my beeswax, but I still cringe.

"Casa Fronto" antique plaster finish. Its plaster sprayed directly onto the bass (very thin layer) and then laquered.
