So you bought that one. I was just about ready to pull the trigger and it was sold.
Guilty as charged!

So I hate to be negative but I am going to post my most recent experience. I posted before, which I know some of you saw that it took about three years to get my order from Roscoe. I want to say that I had two previous orders for a P bass and J bass and was very happy. I decide to order the PJ and pay extra for the finish. I was told multiple times that it was almost ready, "just a few more weeks and heard nothing. In one case a whole year went by with no answers to my emails.
I finally got it as you see picture here. It looks great, feels good and sounds good but the input had a short and the pots were dirty and were cutting out. I did not want to send it back or quite honestly deal with it anymore. I paid $107 to get it fixed and cleaned up and just be done with it. While my previous experiences were great, the last one did not go according to plan. I get that there was problems with a pandemic but I had a Valenti and Bluesman Vintage custom build without any of the program.s
Some left some snide comments to my original post. I even got a couple of PMs about those negative comments. I am simply posting here since it's a Roscoe group. Hopefully, others don't have the same experience that I did. View attachment 5260749
I really don’t like gang mentality. It doesn’t help anyone, and just shows people’s fragility. I feel that it’s really important for potential customers to hear about all experiences, and for the company itself to hear back as well so they can tighten the ship. It’s really difficult to be a small business, but it’s far more difficult if you don’t work out the kinks to be sure things like this just don’t happen. I appreciate your posting about this build. Roscoe makes amazing basses, and I hope that they can hear from you about your experience and move forward to better their process and customer service. So I hate to be negative but I am going to post my most recent experience. As someone bought a potential 5 string jazz before I could pull the trigger (pictured above) I’d consider taking it if your hands if you decide to sell as well.![]()
Totally agree Andy. Club threads should provide everyone (current owners and prospective owners) the great experiences as well as the not so great experiences. No builder or product is perfect. I’m a huge Roscoe fanboy but I don’t wear rose colored glasses either. Shame on guys that throw legitimate victims under the bus just because they had/have problems.I really don’t like gang mentality. It doesn’t help anyone, and just shows people’s fragility. I promised the forum I’d wait for a fretless Century 5.![]()
If only there was someone in this group who was looking for a fretless Century 5... at least as of a few days ago anyways, who knows what he's GASing for now
It's local to me, but I'm not buying ANYTHING for awhile... this time I promise
