Right. Like I said, for live shows the Roscoe is close enough and so easy to play and convenient. No swapping. Keeps it easy. A little pan, a little right hand placement. Easy.
That's why I still kick around the mod idea. A couple toggle switches with some dual coil soaps and I suppose I could get even closer. But, is it really worth it? No one is complaining and I still get asked to play so.....
I tell you, adding the Roscoe Bartolini and getting those 3-way toggles really give my Spanish Cedar fretless a wider voice spectrum. If you have a Roscoe with Bartolini CB pups, I would certainly make that change and mod from there as desired.
