I think you may be looking at a serious custom since according to their website, Roscoe's have bolt-on necks. I'm no Roscoe expert, so through-bodies _could_ exist...

Must be an oldie but a goodie. The early precursor to today's SKB was neck through. I played a six string in the mid 90's.
I played this one and it felt great to me. I remember thinking it felt like a tank. That was Good in that it felt bullet proof. Maybe it was kind if heavy though. The dimensions of the neck seemed a little different. Something about the neck was bigger than they are now. Might be wrong. If you've played and feel good with sixers than I'd go for it.
Ahh shoot. I've got Roscoe GAS again. Anybody want to trade me their extra Roscoe for an exquisite cocobolo Pedulla Thunderbass?

I used to own a LG and SKB... sold them both. Shouldn't have. I miss them. Of course I'd really miss the Pedulla but GAS is terrible.

I've always wanted to try that type of Pedulla. But my new roscoe is staying with me UNTIL MY DEATH.
In fact ( Gard ) I'm budgeting for a duplicate. And after the duplicate- 1 more with a birds eye maple fret board and holly top. But they will all be 30 inch with 16.5mm spacing. That is if you guys will still do that.

I love the way that the tinted flame runs through the carving forward of the pickup! It looks like a wave.

For what some have stated the Bassline MM is a bit more aggressive sounding than the Bart MM in my JM model. I'm totally digging my JM model. I played it this morning and it has such a great tone in the mix! Such an different twist to the Roscoe flavor! I've been playing it with the MM soloed most of the time but I played a tune this morning with the rear single coil only (with a nice mid boost) and it totally killed! I'm just starting to find all of the cool sounds available with the JM p/u configuration.

Much as it's a great setup, I don't regret not going JM at all as this bass has plenty of sounds without a neck pickup. I wanted as authentic of a MM vibe as possible which meant something other than Bartolini pickups and a MM style pre. I decided on the Duncan pickup and John East MMSR pre. So far I'm quite pleased with that and the extra sounds with the pickup in series.
It seems that Jon's Monkeyman has a lot more treble going on with the Aguilar pre set flat which I suspect is in part due to the ceramic/alnico difference, but there's plenty on tap with the pre should I want it so no regrets there either.

I've actually been very seriously considering the switch to the alnico pickup. I'd love to hear some clips of this bass!
Alright, here's a quick and dirty clip. I mean really quick and dirty but you can get an idea of the bass at least
The sounds in order are:
1. Pickup in parallel, bass and treble around 50% ("flat")
2. Pickup in parallel, bass and treble around 90%
3. Pickup in series, bass and treble around 25-30%
I will try to work on something that shows more of the tones, and hopefully some better playing
