Yup, because it's your sound. When you ask a bandmate "what do you think of my new guitar (preamp, etc) that sounds exciting and fresh to you, and they respond "hmm, I guess I didn't notice" it's sort of a compliment?
Oh lawdy that's gorgeous. I hate to ask to refinish mine that way but I've always wanted a vintage LPB. Now I don't even think about vintage with how I love this bass.
Did yours come with the patina on the control plate? Mine is new chrome (bridge also) which wasn't really fitting with the retro/relic vibe. My only minor issue.

I had a relic’d Fender and installed a new top load bridge on it. It was quite easy doing a relic job on the new bridge by putting muriatic acid in a plastic container, setting the bridge on spacers above the acid and closing the lid over night. It worked really well.
I think a “you sound like you” no matter what gear you’re playing is a compliment.

The BEB is a better bass!! It still has stock electronics. The Koa has the Norstrand Pre-amp.
Both are nice and if you steal one you might as well steal them both!
But leave your Signature, so I won’t be Roscoe-less!
