They sound good too.
Kind of between the sound of nickel and unvisited SS. They are a bit more tacky feeling than the nickels but not too bad. Maybe that will improve as I break them in.
It sounds like your experience with them is like mine with TI Flats. Unlike the Chromes, which I like, TI flats are a bit tacky and it is that reason I don’t like them. I don’t need outside influences to negatively influence my playing. I do a great job of doing that without any help!
I think mine had that for about an hour. At $135 a set, I was willing to wait them out; it was worth it ;-)
Mine were installed much longer than an hour and I was looking forward to a good experience with them. However, Chromes work for me and cheaper. 
I’ve been mostly an upright player the last few years, but I used the Roscoe on this new recording of an old Jimmy Van Heusen tune and am reminded of just what a great sounding instrument it is.

Yea! Roger (THG) just emailed me and said that he will be shipping my Wenge access covers next week!
Well next week came and went and still no covers or even an invoice for them.
I guess I need to get a clear understanding of which “next week” THG was referring too!
Of course I know that they’ll be made right when I finally get them but the last Roscoe that Keith made for me took 1/2 the time that I have been waiting on these covers (so far).

He’s doing well and living in Central Florida. He said that he’s got a normal day job now (even has health care).
He still has both his Roscoe’s (Stormtrooper and Vader) and is currently working with a Classic rock group (waiting Clovis-19 to pass).

Joe, I've seen you go through so many Roscoes. This one might be the nicest looking one, although it could be a toss up (the walnut 6 string is still a favorite). Enjoy your retirement, man. You deserve it.
