Your pickup placement looks pretty standard for Roscoe soapbar basses of the past 2 years. KR is always willing to do custom placements, but yours looks like the normal good-tone ergonomic standard soapbar version.

I think its "Roscoe" placement .The bridge looks like a Standard Plus setup which would lead me to believe those are Bart CB pickups.
Yeah. That is a Hipshot Type B bridge.
Very nice looking STD. I love the amber tint on the quilt top!
The Bart CB pickups are more open sounding than the Roscoe Barts (which are more compressed sounding). Both have a great tone. It really just depends on what your preference is.
Not sure if everyone is aware but most (if not all) Pleks are connected to the internet and if you take your instrument to another shop that has a Plek they can access the previous Pleks done on your instrument to help in evaluating what's needed (or best) for your next Plek..

Well just got word from Keith my bass has been upgraded with Coil taps for single coil-parallel-series and the Nordstrand DC pickups installed. Bass had the small clear cost blemish fixed on the back and heading back to me. Excited to get it back.
No such thing as a 2-week period for some folks!
I wonder if a Roscoe T-shirt is accompanying the Roscoe's trip home?

Keith hired a new electronic tech recently.
I've got a couple Roscoe shirts already. Keith has a really good electronic guy now and he does really neat wiring.
Alder for me. I like the medium weight and midrange-forward sound. My headless Roscoe with Bart CBs, my P-bass and my Jazz are all alder, and I think my '01 Stingray may be as well, although it could be ash. My fretless Roscoe MM is ash, but that one was a woods/pickups 'tonal recipe' experiment.
Oddly, as many Roscoe as I've owned, I've never owned one with an alder body. My Gecko fretless has an alder body and I've owned several Fenders with alder bodies and I agree it's a great sounding body wood.

I spent some quality time today with the Koa Signature Century 5 and the Myrtle Custom SKB 6. I love them both but the Koa Century 5 is just the greatest playing bass. I could have played that bass all day. Those Nordstrands just add a bit of a nasty growl that makes you feel like you're large and in charge. Greg spec'd out a winner here.
Weird optical illusion! The low B (?) string seems run further in from the top edge of the neck that the high G (?) on the bottom.
