I'm still riding the wave of excitement, and my evening is now spoken for, but over the next couple days I'll attempt to put thought to keyboard and describe just how special today was. I am truly blessed!

So cool, man! That bass is gorgeous. And you had the best NBD experience of them all. I used to think seeing the UPS truck pull up to the house was exciting, until the first time I walked into Roscoe HQ and saw my new, custom-made bass sitting on a stand.
Beautiful bass and awesome picture!
Definitely need to get that one printed, framed and hung in your music room!
@SteveC probably had the coolest pic when he picked up his STD Century 6 at the 2012 Roscoe GTG. It highlighted the playful side of Keith (and Steve and the bass). That bass should have been a keeper for life and hung on the wall with that picture!

Yep. It still pains me a little. That was probably one of the most beautiful basses he's made. I tried 3 times to get along with a 6 string and just couldn't do it. It was amazing to go to the shop and pick it up. And use it for a lesson with Jimmy Haslip the next day. That was a great 4 days.
The "veneer" top was so thick on that bass. Beautiful.
Finally got to use the new-to-me Century Standard Plus 5 P/J on a gig the other night. All I can say is, the solo "bedroom" response was not doing this axe justice!!
It felt light on the shoulder but my ears would have figured it to be a 12# boat anchor in a blind (and weightless) test. The sizzle from active treble really blossoms at stage volume and the low end was solid as ever. (I thought I might have bumped up the lo boost by accident but it was almost flat. Wow...) As when home, the bass played easily all over the neck and cried out just the way I wanted it to when digging in.
Looks like we're in for a nice, long honeymoon.

Anyone have a single or double Grey Roscoe gig bag lying around they want to part with?
Probably already answered but that's standard Roscoe Placement. Yes the Low B on all of Keith's basses are the best I've ever played. There are some others out there like a Lakland 5594 and a few Elrick US Gold lines but really those don't compare to my Roscoes .
Random question... Have you guys ever had a bass that just didn't click, no matter how much you try? I am running into that with one of my LG 3000's. The bass is just slightly shorter than my other 4 string, and I just feel caustrophobic playing the thing... I updated the pickups and preamp, sent it to Keith to PLEK and bought a new case for it, and I fear I am going to have to sell it now. I've posted this bass a few times in the group in the past. Pretty frustrated about this cause I love everything about this bass but it's just not comfortable to play since I am a big guy with a longer reach.
