Roscoe Club

Check it out! I ordered a Roscoe OHSC from Keith Monday and it came today and look what was in the case .....

I ran into this issue but found it to be more of a seasonal thing, namely winter. I suspect its low humidity right now in your part of the world. I wouldnt get too caught up in it as the problem should subside in the coming months. A small fret file is all you need to touch things up.

Dang for a second there I thought you stole Greg at Rocketmusics picture background...but naw its a shag. I still have my long sleeve from the get together years ago.

It's definitely a winter/dryness thing. The bass never left NC until we moved here in August. But I'd rather take care of it now than deal with it, even knowing the wood will swell back up this summer.

No doubt (if you have a great luthier in your area). And even the Plek is a bit at the mercy of the bass being properly prepared prior to being strapped down in the Plek (truss rod adjusted so the neck is perfectly straight).
In my case I primarily needed a neck pocket scribe and that needed the pin router (and appropriate jigs) and a skilled luthier (in my case I preferred the creator Keith). And since it was there, a Plek validated the required scribe angle).

A PLEK is a precision tool that, used correctly, will be far more accurate than any human can be.
