Roscoe Club

I’m hoping to put a deposit down on my first Roscoe personal build next week. It’s gonna be a Century Standard Plus 5 fretless. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to sell a bunch of gear lately to fund the build. Of all the Roscoe’s I’ve had this will be the first one I’ve personally spec’d out. Too cool.

Have fun and keep us posted!

Nice! Roscoe makes a mean fretless. I had a Pedulla Pentabuzz before my Roscoe LG fretless and I definitely prefer the Roscoe.

Back in the saddle. Street dance up in north eastern ND for a biker rally. Pretty fun. Beautiful night. It can rain now as we’re back home. The new synth sounded REALLY good. As did the bass. Messed up a couple things that I really had no business messing up. Hopefully that’s out of my system.
Play again in a downtown parking lot on Thursday for a “we made it through the year” party for teachers and first responders, and anyone else. Should be fun. Sound and lights provided and only till 11pm - with an opener. My favorite kind of gig.

May I ask about the E-Drum kit? After a couple back and shoulder surgeries, our drummer has some struggles moving his acoustic kit around. And being the stubborn old Marine that he is, doesn’t like asking for help. We moved to an electric kit in the rehearsal space a while ago and it’s fine for that. I’m not sure of the model, but it’s probably a low-mid tier one. We recently recorded with it for the first time with mixed results, which makes me question how well it’d do live in front of an audience. Not knowing a whole lot about them, I’m starting to research.

I have a Century fretless 5 and it’s fantastic. Hope yours turns out killer!

It’s a Roland. TD20 I think with some upgrades. He’d prefer a real kit but he plays electric at church and for cover so he’s used to it. It makes set up and sound check so easy.

…figured I’d get it a sibling:

Classic J4
•34” scale
•swamp ash body (gloss Oly White)
•matching headstock (full paint/no swoosh, like my P4)
•Indian Rosewood fb
•1-1/2” nut
•19mm bridge
•all passive/no back cavity
•3-control plate (v/v/tc)
•Fralin JJ single coils
•3-ply tort pickguard
•Hipshot USA tuners
•TKL gigbag

I’m already very excited about this one!

@SteveC I was r-e-a-l-l-y tempted to go for shell pink, but I’ve always wanted an Olympic White bass…the tort/ rosewood/matching headstock combo has been in my head for a long while!

That’s a classic combo as well. It’ll look amazing.
