Models are a hybrid between the Standard Plus and Custom models and becoming rather popular and quite common. Very excited to welcome one into my fold.

It's 8 lbs. Alder with Pau Ferro, The actual body is not as think as a Fender P bass.Sorry to take up so much bandwidth lately but I did a thing today. I put a set of TI flats on my SKB 6. Holy moly. Does it sound good. Probably not to everyone’s taste for a Roscoe 6 but the tone is solid and pure.
Except that virtually every Roscoe made is a custom-spec bass. Keith Roscoe not only started that trend, he nurtures and perpetuates it by letting customers have their say, and way. He is the most flexible, accommodating luthier that I know of. All it takes is imagination, an open checkbook, and just 2 more weeks to have that one-of-a-kind bass.

I’ve debated flats on my active 5 but I just don’t know. I like that I have flats on the P for certain sounds and rounds on the 5 for other things.
LOL true dat. I was going for a straight Standard Plus and Keith suggested the upgrades and I was like hell yeah!
Back in the day I don’t think he was as willing to do the “plus plus” basses. Or maybe no one asked. It seemed when I ordered mine it was pretty set that these were the options and there weren’t any substitutions to keep the cost down. I suppose if you’re willing to pay and he’s willing to make the changes…

You're going to love that bass. There is no better fretless bass guitar than a Roscoe.
I have a Jaco sig which I love. But every time I pick up my fretted LG I dream of a matching fretless. Makes me want to sell up, save up, and keep practicing.
Doing the final setup Plek and finishing the Coil Taps and this one is finished.
Standard, plus, plus/plus, signature, custom. To a point, they are all “custom” in my mind. Even if it’s just picking body wood, tops, finger boards, electronics, it’s still your choice.
Fretless Roscoe is the best. Get one. Buy once, cry once. I bought thrice. Keeping this one no matter how much or little I use it. There is no better fretless, and the mwah is amazing.

The Roscoe Classic P body is noticeably thinner (and more sculpted) than my Sadowsky P5 body as well. It makes a positive “comfort” difference, sitting or standing. I'm curious what you like about the Hipshot B, over the A? If it's pure aesthetics I'd take the A every time.
This is true. I remember being told no gloss finish on a Standard +. If I wanted gloss finish I had to get a Custom.
