Roscoe SoundClips 3 (from Roscoe Forum)

Here's a new Bass Orchestra tune. It's my version of Mark Lowry & Buddy Greene's song "Mary Did You Know". I've loved this song since the first time that I heard it years ago. It's kind of a modern Christmas song.
I used my Roscoe Century V JM bass for the chordal and solo parts and my Roscoe LG-3005 for the main bass part. I recorded it using Reason 6.5.

Here's a recording I did on an iPad using my 30 inch roscoe and instruments from garage band.

Lead bass - bridge pickup soloed, tone and highs rolled off, going through ebs dynaverb pedal ( purchased from rocket :))

Rhythm bass - neck pickup soloed, highs and tone almost all the way up, no pedals.

I'm using dr sunbeams( short scale). I never used them before but Roscoe put these on when the bass was made and I haven't taken them off. I really like the strings and will be sticking with sunbeams.

I used an apogee jam to play straight into the iPad. Very easy set up. Definitely not a pro set up but great for quick ways to record/practice.

I believe that I played my former mahogany/walnut Roscoe 3006 and Roscoe 3006 fretless on this one.

We don't have bad winters here in Georgia. As a matter fact there's a saying here that goes something like:
"If you don't like the weather here in Georgia today don't worry because you might like it tomorrow"! :)

I had some down time last night so I revamped a 2-3 year old bass orchestra version of ABB's "Midnight Rider" using my mahogany/momkey pod Roscoe SKB Standard + 5 fretless for the first verse and my Koa/mahogany Roscoe LG-3005 for the other verses, bridge and chordal parts.
