Kinda reminds me of the days when a business owner could deny someone services or goods based on things like beliefs or skin color.

I've heard his show.
He's a public political figure, so it's open season. He's free to modify his message to satisfy his opponents, so I don't see what the problem is.

While I think Limbaugh should be allowed to be a part of the sale equating a guy worth hundreds of millions of dollars not being allowed to purchase a share in an NFL team to institutionalized racism or segregation is beyond a stretch.
There are 32 NFL teams and unlike other sports, the way the league is structured means EVERY team makes money every year. There are more people/groups that want to buy teams than there are teams. For instance, former 49ers Steve Young and Brent Jones have long been the face of a group with the money and willingness to buy the Niners, but with no luck. Point being, the NFL (or rather the owners) get to choose who gets to own teams.
And as pointed out before, this is a money decision. I'd be shocked if there weren't a majority of owners that voted the same way Limbaugh does. It isn't his political views - it's that he is a divisive figure and they must think that's bad for business.

The flipside is that the NFL does not have to let Rush into their club. Concern about their image or possible labor trouble are legitimate concerns. What do you guys think?
Dude! No way! I was denied the right to buy a ****ing beer, because I was at the wrong door and it wasn't that long ago. Lush Hemhaw having a little difficulty spending his millions isn't comparable.Kinda reminds me of the days when a business owner could deny someone services or goods based on things like beliefs or skin color.

Well, for certain that is deplorable; however, the scale of things don't determine what is right or wrong.Dude! No way! Does disagreement with his political philosophy really lead so many people to immediately cry, "rascist!" to prevent him from accomplishing something?
+1
This is what's going on.
Okay, so maybe he goes a little overboard with his analogies from time to time. Maybe you don't like his sense of humor. Fine. He's no racist, and he's no criminal.
In his more somber and serious moments, Rush Limbaugh promotes the spirit of human achievement over entitlements. He has lost patience with the career victims of this country living off the efforts of the hard-working achievers. He believes anyone, regardless of their race, ethnic background, or family history, can be independant, productive, and prosperous. He doesn't apply this thought to any one race, but all races equally. He believes the days of hand outs and quotas should be over. They were once necessary, have served their purpose, and society has changed for the better as a result.
He has lots of factual data to support his belief.
But not everyone gets it, and in fact, some are so offended by Limbaugh's ideals that they feel the urge to label him with a libelous term that has been so distorted and misused over time that most people don't even know what it means any more.
I hope he sues the shirts off everyone who defames him in this manner. Enough is enough already.
If Limbaugh were a liberal black man, you would most certainly be hearing cries of racism.
was, poor little victim Rush. I feel so sorry for him.I suppose you might. But how is this germane to the topic at hand?
You're asking me how I could be off topic in a forum called "Off Topic"?
