Most if not all of the shows were sold out same day tickets went on sale. Seems to be plenty resales available on Stubhub still.
I have played both the 3261 and Fireglo 4080/12 Ricks.
Several years ago! Here is a photo of the double neck at MARF III. I played the 3261 at the Rickenbacker 75th Anniversary celebration weekend in August 2006, a friend of mine owned it for many years and recently sold it to Geddy. Some cities are getting extra treats...
The most amazing setlist so far was in St. Paul, where they played both "Natural Science" (played on a Rick 4001) AND "Jacob's Bladder" along with "Prelude" from "Hemispheres," most of "Cygnus X-1," "2112" including "Presentation" and "Grand Finale" with of course the highlight of the night...the nearly entire "Xanadu" with full intro, real Moog, and of course the doublenecks. The encore of "Lakeside Park" was one of those one-in-a-million tracks you'd never expect to hear...as was "What You're Doing" which judging from the YouTube clips Neil absolutely loathes...he sure simplifies the older songs and takes out almost all his old difficult fills but at least he agreed to even play them...he plays all of the newer material impeccably but it sounds like he couldn't give a damn on the old stuff...check out Neil's face around the 30sec mark:

All the amps are "dummy" amps made by Mojo.
If you look at the attention to detail, the cabinets even say "Dirk" in a play on the old Ampeg logo...not to mention the "ARF40" t-shirt lol...
I noticed he replaced the horseshoe pickup on the 68 4001 with a high gain ... I use to play a 68 4001 and those old horseshoe pickups were weak and thin sounding.
Going on 5/28 in Greensboro, NC. Can't wait.
I love the fact that these guys are such amazing musicians that they just have fun now. Geddy has used a chicken rotisserie, washer and dryer, sausage grinder time machine, and now fake amps - awesome. He uses the magic of two Fractal Axe-FX to get his amplified sound now, so he could stand up there without anything behind him. But that's no fun, right?
I' m glad they choose to entertain us besides amazing us with their magic.

What's that on the pickguard under the g string in between the pickups? A ramp?
Unless it's been said otherwise, I'm pretty sure Geddy's just using his Sansamp/Avalon combo that he's been doing for the past decade (possibly with the Orange head mixed in as well).

I'm going to the Vancouver show on July 17. I'll be on the floor on Geddy's side. Hopefully the people in front of me won't be taller than I am...haha

Thanks much!! It was a great show and I would say it again, if you like Rush in the least, score some tix, because it is worth it. Also a big treat for fans and bassists to see all that gear and hear all those older numbers.
