Rybski Basses?

Are we reading the same thread? I don't see any post here where he is doing this.
I posted a violation report and it was deleted by staff. Didn't now I was breaking a rule but I do now. I was told that I could comment on Rybski if the thread was about rybski. So I'm getting violated on rules that I am not breaking. I've never deleted anything myself but I know that lownote38 has deleted some stuff he said about Rybski paying me back and that I changed the order wich is false. The guys either lieing or Rybski is lieing. Why would you delete if it wasn't your lie? Maybe they are in cohuuts. Anyway management is threatening to delete all my comments and my membership so if I don't reply it's because I cant.

I read this whole thread too, and I don't disbelieve what Chauncey has stated - sounds like a totally legit beef to me, and TB is probably one of the best forums to discuss this type of thing with the amount of people who may be interested in custom builds by this luthier. I think the Staff would close the thread if it wasn't a legit story of interest.

I hope you can get your money back.

Thank you. what would be better to know about the guy your about to give money to? Everyone should know what this guy does. I would want to know about him if I was thinking about giving him money.

I'm not saying his beef isn't legitimate, but lashing out at other posters in paranoia ain't a good way to further one's cause. I hope he gets his money back as well, and I agree, it seems suspicious that Rybski won't respond here, but hey, I don't run his business. I'll just add I went to Rybski's site, I didn't really care for his body shapes, which is neither here nor there, but all I can offer based on direct personal observation.

To clarify... in a separate post I had asked a question about buying a Rybski for my birthday. I was accused of being Rybski, I reported the post because it was an attack on my character.

On a side note, I opted to purchase a different set of guitars which I posted in this thread: Invalid Link Removed

My reason for not choosing Rybski was due to the fact that I had not played them and not because of his reputation.

And for the record, the staff is perfectly fine with letting his issue be presented in this thread. The problem is that he has tried, twice now, spamming the same post in dozens of threads at once to flood the Basses forum so everyone sees it, and has repeatedly denied that our rules apply to him. Normally I wouldn't make this kind of note in public, but he has been warned that if he continues to spam the forum/refuse to follow the rules that his posts are going to get taken down, so if there's suddenly a lot less posts in this thread, you'll know why.

I did not accuse anybody. Just asked a question.
Yes, you clearly did - the posts having been deleted (by whoever) doesn't mean it didn't happen. No, I didn't take screen shots. I do appreciate your warnings, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't have done business with Rybski anyway because I'm not in the market and I didn't like his designs, so I can't say your warnings would have affected any of my decisions, but I'll certainly avoid him in the future unless this is resolved satisfactorily.

I did not accuse you of anything. The question was posed to lownote38 and it was a question not an accusation. I've never seen you on the site before that but I had lownote bashing me on this thread and telling people that Rybski payed me back when he did not. It had nothing to do with you. I replied to lownote.

That's is fair.

I did not read the post that way and it came across needlessly aggressive. I asked a question, received 1 reply... the thread was essentially dead until your reply.

I hope your issue gets resolved.

They were deleated by staff. And I took screen shots of everything. Thanks for the appreciation. I only asked the question, are you Rybski, after my first post was immediately deleated. My first post just said he ripped me off and the video I made. Just seems wierd that somebody asked about Rybski and then I told them and immediately gets deleated. If I was thinking about giving him money I would want to know if he does good business or not.

It wasn't the "are you Rybski" that bothered me, it was the rest of the text, which certainly, to me, was accusing both previous posters in that thread of being Rybski shills. Had I been the author of Acoustic365's posts in that thread, I would have responded the same way he did. I really am sorry you're having issues getting your money back, I just don't see some of your actions as being positively helping you in that regard. As I said, thanks for the warnings, but we can't fight your battle for you.

I think I'd be booking a flight to Rybski's hometown if I were in the OPs shoes. And I'm no tough guy. I would want however to confront him face to face. We're not talking a couple of hundred dollars here, we're talking thousands. And if everything the OP is stating is true, which I believe it is since Rybski hasn't come around with a counter story, then this is a very big deal. And it makes absolutely no sense that he's not either returning him money, or sending him a bass. If it were me, I'd be absolutely livid. I almost am NOT being in his shoes. But I'm not losing any sleep, and I'm only thinking about it when this thread pops up :).

He was robbed. Period. And he knows who robbed him.

And FWIW, a question can equally be an accusation. If I said "bholder, are you an idiot?," I 'm not going to get away with saying it was just a question and not an accusation.
Agreed. And yes, there certainly times when I am! I understand the question was pointed at the other poster, but the words around it seemed to be accusing everyone in the thread, implicitly, and that's what gets the mods involved, methinks. Good luck.

I'd be angry too, and I'd be pursuing every angle of possible resolution; I'm just requesting that the anger not be directed at the uninvolved.

That comment was a reply to lownote34 and not directed at acoustic365. I had no reason to think ill of acoustic365.

I understand - but to other folks reading the thread, it looked like you were throwing stones at both of them. I can see why Acoustic365 took offense, I would have as well. Your clarifications here, of course, help.

I don't want to physically hurt the guy and go to jail or prison. I'm a hot head and the first person to get in trouble. Im going to call wartrace chamber of commerce and eventually the police although I've never called the cops on somebody and don't want to either. I think Rybski is stubborn and wants to win. He won't keep my money and a client list. He will pay for it either way.
