I like the full gamut of these genres, excluding drone. I like stoner rock, sludge, heavy southern rock, throwback 70's and psychedelic rock sounding stuff, stoner metal, most of the doom metal subgenres. I started liking stoner rock and doom metal separately in the late 90's and then the online communities just kind of merged together (they used to be insanely segregated and aggressive towards each other in places), which was convenient for me. I like variety in general though, especially in music. I still listen to pop punk, indie rock, grindcore, powerviolence, crust/d-beat, punk, fast hardcore, funk, classic heavy metal, a tiny bit of hip hop (not much), old country, classic rock, blues, even some jazz. I used to be crazy into jazz when I was younger, but now I can almost never listen to it. I burned myself out listening to and playing jazz (trumpet) between 11-18. There was a weird period in my early teens when all I listened to were jazz and thrash metal.
Most of my regular listening is focused around these genres, poppy melodic rock/pop punk stuff and the more extreme punk/metal offshoots, but every once in a while I need tangents to cleanse the palate.
I'm also not a fan of the term "stoner" in music genres, since I don't smoke pot. Even when I used to I didn't like it, as I never did while playing music and was never a goofy "hell yeah, 420!" type guy, it was never important to my identity. At this point I just don't care, if that's what genre name people use that's what they use.
