S/D-85: Tasty clippings from Corey's Box

That's awesome. Labor discount for tubes.

Hehe, yeah. I think that amp in mono slaved to my GK 700RB should be sufficient for a 12x12 practice space. :D :hiding:

We've got about 3 songs down thus far, more to come. Looks like we've got ourselves on the bill for the Summer "Madison's Wurst Times" fest at the High Noon. Should be interesting.

Shortly I'll be building myself a 2U tube bass preamp for this poweramp. I've got to complete a 2xel84 20watt Orange Dark Terror with HiWatt EQ-based head first though.

Not a bad idea. My hope would be to clear $100-200 on it. Reasonable? Unreasonable?

I could totally see having to pay $200 for a 810 sized road case. But I could totally be wrong.

I kind of want to get a road case for the Vulcan once I get it, and get a stained wood headcase for it.

Also been thinking about selling my newly respeakered PA 412s and getting an oversized 412. And a few other things to sell, and a few things, mainly dirt pedals, to fix, and a guitar to upgrade, and more Peavey amps to buy. Jeez I really need to list that stuff.

Crabby patty?

OK I got a 4 year old and I see way too much Spongebob...

Theres no such thing as too much Spongebob...

Damn I was gonna say that! Then before i scrolled down I said to myself "bet max already replied" and you said my exact damn words.

But yea Spongebob is one of those good cartoons that spans all ages. Tom Kenny is always doing good stuff.

Also a crabmeat crabby patty would imply mr. crabs is so damn cheap and evil he'd serve his own kind for a profit.

Nice score on the 120/120, and great price. I think unpaid $235 for mine, but one just sold on my local CL for like 500! What kin of pre are you going to pair it with.

I also just saw an 810 case on CL for $200, but funds are tight. Hopefully eb drops the price... I was about to spend $100 on a LeCover.

Epic Fail on the P90 sized GFS mini humbucker swap in the 72 tele body. The housing was shite and wobbly in the first place, and even overwound it didn't balance nicely with the stock bridge pickup. Not impressed. Going back to the stock neck pickup for now. Guess I am getting some soldering practice at least LOL.

This would make a decent PA just for vocals, no? Loud enough to keep up? Unfortunately the guy didn't leave any contact info.

Craigslist: Peavey PA-200 Vintage PA System [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Will it be louder than his karaoke machine thing? Probably, but in terms of PA not amazing, you can do way better. They make better guitar amps then pa amps. That's what I use mine for.

Quick advice needed; I have a lead on a '78 Ric bass in jetglo for $1000 cash. Dude says it's straight with just some average paint wear but plays well. Hasn't sent any pics though. Anything I should specifically look out for if I go check it out? Double tross rod, serial number on the stereo inputs, anything else "Ric" specific? Hoping he doesn't mind me pulling the pick guard off, maybe I can look for signs in the pickups to verify it's all real? I'm also assuming $1000 is a good deal, am I crazy?
