Me too. I love the look of the old mesa 400s and SVTIIs. A good Roto mold case would weigh a lot less than a wooden headshell, too.

I really would also like to name a band Large Marge.

Hell, I'd like to see more rack mount tube amps.
Blegh, not me. I hate having to buy a whole separate piece of gear just to carry my amp around. I wish the D-180 had been offered in standard head box format as well as rackmount, but such was unfortunately not the case. Without the case I built for it, that thing was awful to carry around.
Carvin makes good tolexed rack pretty headbox like.
How unique is the name? Is it something that's only used by SunnO))?
We chose a horribly generic name, but ultimately, for us, it didn't matter as long it wasn't stupid.

Yes, if you google the record name, only the Sunn O))) record comes up.
The alternative to that one would be 'Priests of Azathoth' or other generic doom band names.
Speaking of Lovecraft-inspired band names, I love how all the good ones were taken up by bands that recorded a demo in the 90s and split up shortly afterwards. Using an already used band name is a definite no go for me, so that bums me out like hell.
Really missing my Vulcan right now...Im getting very impatient. I loved how it sounded before and now Im really excited to hear how it sounds all fresh and restored. Especially with the fuzz and tremolo working properly. I'm hoping those and some of the things I've experimented with running straight into amps since I've sent it out will enable me to just run a tuner and a volume pedal and a ABY box out front with the footswitch.
I've been getting some great results with running straight in lately and using touch and volume roll off to control the amp, for both guitar and bass. WHATS WRONG WITH ME? NO FX? oh yeah all my dirt pedals are slowly killing themselves off and I'm too lazy to get them fixed. At least I'm learning something.
Morning Gents!
It's my birthday, and I am going to eat all the raw fish today at lunch.
