V4 talk, I'm on my phone and couldn't click the link, but this is what I know. The V4 / V4-B are identical, except for the reverb tank. I got my 76 V4-B recently serviced, in working order for $425, I know that's on the lower end of the spectrum, but I'd say 400-600 is pretty average.
On band names: I don't care so much where they come from, I the band is cool. However, I have waited way too long to check out great bands because I didn't like their name or because their art didn't appeal to me. I think its cooler to pay homage to a band by using a song title or lyric, because someone will get it... But album titles are slightly less of a private reference.... More people know the albums...
All that being said coming up with names sucks, so go with whatever you guys can agree upon.

Oh Datassian. After the preop ENT visit last night I swung by a pet store, and picked up a clown fish. The tank was up high and the long legged, big breasted, college age Betty in skinny jeans with like nil body fat had to climb up a ladder in front of me to scoop out Nemo. Is this one good?...yes...perfect!
My girlfriend said wow she was skinny and had big boobs, like a dope without thinking and being so impressed I said yes that is really very rare. Like I found the Holy Grail or something LOL.

Yeah good call, she's my best friend, so I was mostly just agreeing with her comment like any other conversation, just a duh moment where I agreed too much lol.

So I spend a lot of time at work working on a bi-annual catalog. We sometimes ask vendors for suggestions as to what products go in. The catalog listings are not monetized, I have the final say over what we put in and what we don't, but it's nice to get suggestions sometimes.
Almost no one ever responds. This morning I got a extremely detailed 3 page email that mostly consists of: "Can you remove our competitor's products and put ours in instead?" Or: "Can you remove essential non-product elements of your catalog so we can put more of our products in?"

I always liked thin necks for metal. Loved an old passive Jackson I used to have. Humbackers. Good stuff. Played a carvin Acton bass too, had jazz pickups. Both are great for metal and can be found on the cheap.
