Wow. Didn't realize how much I quoted while catching up. Oops. Can't believe I missed the Russian circles love. They're awesome. Really digging memorial. Good shows coming up in Houston. QOTSA Sunday and then O'Brother and the Sword next Friday.

Make sure to get out and see the Sword. I wasn't really that into them until the most recent album, but the live show made me understand why people are batpoopie about them. They are in freaking credible live. So tight, such good tone, they sound better than their albums.

On band names: I don't care so much where they come from, I the band is cool. However, I have waited way too long to check out great bands because I didn't like their name or because their art didn't appeal to me. I think its cooler to pay homage to a band by using a song title or lyric, because someone will get it... But album titles are slightly less of a private reference.... More people know the albums...

All that being said coming up with names sucks, so go with whatever you guys can agree upon.

We're currently debating Ruins vs Warship. Thoughts?

I like the name Ruins Vs. Warship

I used to want to call a band "vs. the yen" Not sure why, just liked it.

I heard about them when Easy Rider records first signed them, but overlooked them out of jealousy, if there is one label I'm really gunning to get signed onto, its Easy Rider. Red Desert, Salem's Pot, Sons of Huns, Monolord, there a few others but damn that roster is jacked and stacked.

You have to be super tight to play that clean and not have it sound like garbage. There is no room for mistakes and boy do they pull it off.

just so were clear, this movie is in the top 5 for most uncomfortable eerie movie ever. how the hell this was marketed towards children in 1985 is beyond me. like way beyond lol.
