Nice!

I'd sell anything redundant. Prolly means offing a SUB, though.

That makes sense but when I purchased my first sub (sub5) even though I had the jazz and the P I felt I finally found my sound..the other two stringed with DM blue steels (wonderful mid range thump) and EB slinkys (scooped zing) rounds out the tones I like the most. Almost inclined to sell the tribby but I haven't given it a fair chance it was stringed with DR flatwounds which it probably not best for that aggressive bass..but I do love my SUBs..Ill hate to sell especially since I know it will sell faster than the jazz i have for sell that nobody's bitting on..

Alright, I think I will, I was looking at Pickgaurd Heavan and did not see the SUB 4 listed. Did you order the 3502 Music Man Stingray Bass pickgaurd for your SUB, and is your SUB teal also?

I ordered the 3508 for a SUB 5. The only reason there is a SUB 5 listed is because it differs from a a regular SR5. The one I ordered would also fit a Classic 5. You just need the 3502 as you stated, and it will fit. Mine is not Teal, just Blue.

Haven't noticed a blemish on my Sub frets. And that's the only bass I do slappity poppity stuff on.

Maybe this is just another case of a "Sterling by Musicman" Sub owner blundering into the SUB by "Musicman" club?

The frets on mine are some of the best, if not the best, wire I've ever played. Cut very well, perfect height, and the metal is solid.

Wait for the jazz to sell. It'll happen. If you off a SUB just to get a "quick sale" then you'll regret it later on. IMO, of course.

Here,s a thought
I played a classic ray back to back with my SUB.
They sounded identical.
Is the classic a SUB in fancy clothes ?

Well the necks on the Classics are a little nicer. They seem to do the same kind of rolling or polishing on the edges of the necks as they do with the BFR basses. The stock Stingrays and our OG Subs arent ragged or anything, but the the BFR and Classics are just smooth as butter.
Darn wish my BFR wasnt at the studio right now.

Gigged the SUB again today. I taped a set (from a Mackie 1608 board) with the SUB and a set last night with my #1 (a modded Lakie Skyline Scheff) and will A/B the sets/basses when I get a chance. Same group with pretty much the same selection of songs.

My SUB, as others have stated, is killer. Just a great bass. The neck is as good, and maybe even better, than anything I've played. (YMMV, IMO, etc etc, of course.) Fretwork is, in a word, perfect. Rolled edges. Level frets. Low action with no buzzing.

Gots to love a SUB!! :bassist:

To be honest, I just didn't see it that way - I had a BFR SR5 at the same time as my SUB5, and the necks were pretty much equal, IMO... Currently, my SUB5 is getting more gigging time than my Sterling 5 HS, and I don't mind it one bit...
