Saved Search Preferences?

At the bottom of the advanced search page there is a button with a drop-down menu that allows you to save or clear your search preferences. But I can't find how to access or use those preferences! For example it seems, intuitively, that if I wanted to regularly search a specific word or user in a specific set of subforums, I would save those search settings, and then have the ability to click a button that says "perform saved search" or something like that. I guess not though?

What is the scoop with the saved search preferences?

Saving your search preferences will simply save the various options selected on the Advanced Search page. These include "Search entire posts / Search thread titles only", "sort results by..." etc.
