Ren the bassist
Do you remember the 21st night of September?
I won't do it, I promise. It is strange though that the EB stock Slinky that came with the bass is a bit scarce and cost more than their Slinky long scale. I guess there have been lots of short scales sold recently. I have tried 2 other brand roundwound short scale strings and neither worked out well. There was not enough string tension so strings were flabby. I may give the Roto Sounds 45-90 short scales a try yet but so far I like the stock Slinky roundwounds best. It also a bit weird that the Sterling and EBMM short scale comes stock with a 105 gauge E string but a full scale EBMM Special Stingray comes stock with a 100 gauge E String. Wonder why that is?
Hey so I sold my SBMM short scale bass a few months back. So I have an extra set of EB short scale strings I’m never going to use now. If you’re interested I can send the strings your way for free if you want to just pay whatever the shipping fee would be. I also have an extra Graphtech black tusq xl jazz bass nut I can throw in, I had one installed on my short scale stingray with no issues.
