Yeah, I think mine are tapped, they have the push/pull volume knobs,
and they make a significant difference in PU output.
It's got aluminum (?) side dots, but a couple are drilled just slightly off the fret centers.
And I think it may have been red originally, but then changed to black at the factory, since it looks like the original finish, but I see hints of red in the PU cavities.
It's a pretty cool bass overall, even in all it's quirkiness, I just haven't been able to find out much about

I do use Kalium, but in this case I had a .170 D’Addario that I used. I filed the nut with a round jeweler’s file (carefully), which makes the 3rd bass I’ve done. The previous one I did was an ESP F-415 that I put a balanced Kalium set on with a .192 tuned to super low E0.
I've been gassing pretty bad for a PJ lately. After a few days of online shopping and looking for deals I decided to pick up old faithful. I ran a little green pad along the neck, checked the tuning as I haven't touched it in a couple months to find it was still spot on and plugged her in. No more GAS. I have had her for so long sometimes I forget what a beautiful monster it is. And I forget sometimes what I've done to modify it along the way. This bass will always be my Black N° 1
So I know this isn't gonna result in biased opinions at all.... but...
Schecter P4 or an American Fender P? Who has experience with both? I play everything BUT I only need this to be a a P bass. I have multiple basses and a utility knife isn't necessary.

I love everything about the T except for the finish. I do supposed it would be easy enough to have it painted.

@promdates, hey another LA TalkBasser! As good as they can be with things being shut down. We are playing outdoors over in Hammond at The Hitch March 13. Been playing a few low key “acoustic” sets around.
We played at The Hitch two weeks ago when it was pretty chilly. My Schecter Extreme Stiletto, as always, preformed like a champ.

Pretty good, we got a show over at The Battlefield in the parish on 4/3.
I don't know anything about LA aside from the New Orleans tourist places, but I'm glad you guys are getting gigs. Good for you.
