I don't know if it's a common thing, but when the pickups on my Stiletto went flaky, the culprit was corrosion that had built up on the input jack. I had missed it myself until my uncle pointed it out. He cleaned it off before he gave it back to me, so I'm not sure how he did it, but I imagine it's as easy as scrubbing it off with some steel wool or applying some sort of solution to it. Either way, I hope yours is as easy a fix as mine was.

I didn't even think about checking the jack! I will today. Thanks for the tip!

Hey guys, it's been a few years but I've finally gotten another Schecter after foolishly selling my first one.

Found a stiletto custom 5 in mint condition for only $500! I'll get a picture uploaded tomorrow.

I had a stiletto studio 6 for years and sold it when I was moving a couple years back. Since then I've always regretted it. I actually like the bolt-on neck on this new one a lot. Maybe 5 vs 6 strings is a big factor, but the profile feels nicer. 2 band EQ still gives a lot of flexibility, and it looks fantastic. The biggest thing is the feel though. Felt like home as soon as I picked it up.

Looks great!! IMHO they should bring back that model and include a 35” 5 string version!!

C4 Custom anyone? I always loved this line of Schecter basses with their carved tops, EMG elecs, and attractive cosmetic appointments. Occasionally Schecter spews out some "factory 2nd's", where it's impossible to find a flaw anywhere. This is one of those, with a small "2" pressed into the end of the rosewood fretboard. Regardless, this particular version has been on my GAS list for quite a while. More proof that a nice bass doesn't have to cost much $$.

Yep.
The Omen Elite has the same electronics.
The differences are in, well, everything else: construction method, woods, bridge, tuners, frets.

Sort of.
The Omen Elite has the same type of pick-ups, but not made by Schecter themselves.
Everything is different between the two models, but they do feature the same pick-up and passive electronics configuration.
