I don't know if it's a common thing, but when the pickups on my Stiletto went flaky, the culprit was corrosion that had built up on the input jack. I had missed it myself until my uncle pointed it out. He cleaned it off before he gave it back to me, so I'm not sure how he did it, but I imagine it's as easy as scrubbing it off with some steel wool or applying some sort of solution to it. Either way, I hope yours is as easy a fix as mine was.Bummed... Two days before my next gig and the bridge pickup on my Stiletto Custom 4 is suddenly barely audible when soloed with the blend knob. The neck pickup is still full volume. I opened up the cavity to see if there was anything obviously up but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Dropping it off tonight to have it worked on and hoping I'll get it before Friday night! I will use my Carvin LB75 backup bass and my last ditch Dean as it's backup but I love my Schecter so it's gonna be hard.
